COMMENTS

The boat was bought by my father in about 1983 as a hull and super-structure only.  He fitted it out completely and installed a ford 3 litre inboard coupled to a jet drive (he bought two of these engines & drives and they apparently came from a mock paddle steamer which was used in a Tarzan movie made in the early 80's).  Unfortunately the engines and drives were an unsuitable combination for this boat and upon its maiden voyage it revved a lot but didn't do any more than about 4 knots.  He subsequently fitted a BMW 120hp inboard with a stern drive and it performed beautifully.  He sold the boat in 1994 but I saw it about on lake Windermere for a few years after that.  I have a picture of it on the plane on Windermere if you are interested.
